Additional Service
Additional charges are optional. Parents may opt out and, in the case of snack or lunch, provide snack or lunch of a similar nature for their child. Please note that 2 year fees include the snack charge.
A £45 deposit is required to secure a space. This will be returned once fees or funding have been received in a child's first term. This does not apply for children in receipt of Two Year Grant Funding.

• Begins in the term after a child becomes 2 (if criteria below* is met)
• Or in the term after a child becomes 3 (applies to all children)
• Covers up to 15 hours of childcare per week for all children or up to 27.75 hours of childcare for eligible working parents.
Grant funding can be used at more than one setting. At Barnabas we open for 38 weeks a year (term time) but funding can be used throughout the year at settings that operate all year round.

*Criteria for 2 year old funding
Families in receipt of:
• Income Support
• Income-based Jobseekers' Allowance
• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
• Child Tax Credit (but not Working Tax Credit) and have an annual income not over 16,190.00 GBP
• The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
• Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
• The Working Tax Credit 4 week run-on (the payment made when no longer qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
A child who has left care through:-
• Special Guardianship Order (SGO)
• Adoption
• Residence Order (RO)
A child who is subject to:-
• Child Protection (CP)
• Child in Need (CIN) plan (due to safeguarding)
• Is a Looked After Child (LAC)

- 2 year olds: £7 per hour (see below as grant funding may apply).
- From the 1/2 term after the child is 3, before funding applies: £5 per hour
- 3-4 year olds: Grant Funded by the government up to 15 hours per session or 27.75 hours for eligible parents.
- Additional hours above the 15 funded hours for 3-4 year olds: £5 per hour
Optional Lunch Club:
- 12.30pm - 1.00pm Mondays - Fridays
- Occasional/additional Lunch Clubs: £4 per Lunch Club
Additional Charges from September 2021
- An additional snack charge of £1.10 per session will be charged for all 2, 3 and 4 year funded children. Please note that 2 year fee paying children won't be charged extra for snack.
- Outings and occasional special events will be charged at cost rate
